IC-TAG’s Smart Cards are contactless cards that use RF to interact with an RFID reader. Each card contains an embedded chip with two frequency options, high frequency 13.56 MHz (HF), or ultra-high frequency 860-960 MHz (UHF). An antenna is also found within the cards which allows communication between the cards and the RFID reader without any contact.
Applications of our Smart Cards include student and employee ID’s, highway toll payment, building access management and security, as well as public transportation fee payments. Still, these are only a few of the many potential uses!
Our contact cards feature a magnetic strip which can be encoded with many different types of information. Unlike our Smart Cards, these cards must be swiped in order for the information to be read. Common uses of contact cards includes gift cards, credit cards, access management, and more.
We also offer wireless RFID collection systems, like the one featured below. Please contact us for more information.
